After Hurricane Otis devastated Acapulco, Mano Amiga Acapulco suffered major damage, threatening students’ education. With support from Catholic World Mission donors, the school has been fully restored and reopened. Now, students once again learn in a safe, faith-filled environment that promotes growth, resilience, and hope—empowering them to become agents of change in their community.

Led by Felicia U. Amanambu and Catholic World Mission, this project builds safe restrooms for Nigerian students, replacing unsafe conditions and restoring dignity. The new toilets at Umunuko Central School have improved health, boosted attendance—especially for girls—and upheld Catholic values of compassion and human dignity.

The Cultural Foyer Maison de l'Amitié, founded by CICM missionaries at the Saint Michel Catholic Mission in Podor, is the only cultural center available to youth outside of schools in the community. Each year, it welcomes between 200–400 young people for activities that promote education, literacy, cultural development, and the advancement of women—serving all without distinction of religion, race, or culture.
